Measuring Your Dog While Resting
To make sure your dog will be comfortable on its new bed, take its measurements while napping. Start measuring at his snout to the base of the tail. This should give you a good idea of the length of the dog bed or crate pad you should look for.
Different dogs need different styles of bed. For those who like to curl up into themselves, look for a bed with bolsters. If your pup loves to nap stretched all the way out, find a plush pillow bed.
And always remember—when in doubt, it’s best to size up. That includes dogs that might be in-between dog bed sizes or puppies that aren’t fully grown.
